When I was painting Open Up, God reminded me of kintsugi, the Japanese technique of repairing broken vases with gold.
Our scars are the testimony of God’s power in our life. If we let Him heal us, we will come out more beautiful, more precious, just like that broken vase, mended and beautified with gold.
